Considered, Story Led Wedding Photography & Film Across Scotland

Glasgow Wedding Photographer & Filmmaker Covering Orkney & Scotland
I’m Daniel, a Glasgow-based wedding photographer and filmmaker originally from Orkney. For over 10 years, I’ve been documenting weddings across Scotland, from elegant Glasgow ceremonies to windswept celebrations in Orkney. Capturing each day with a calm, considered and story-led approach. I work quietly and unobtrusively, preserving the atmosphere, emotion and fleeting moments that give your wedding its character, so you can relive not just how it looked, but how it truly felt.

Relaxed, Documentary Wedding Photography & Film
Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a celebration. My approach is calm, unobtrusive and story-led, allowing you to fully experience your day while I capture the genuine moments happening around you.
From morning preparations to the dance floor, I focus on real interactions — the laughter, the nerves, the quiet glances and the big, joyful moments in between.
Because years from now, it’s how it felt that will matter most.

Photography & Film
Seamlessly Captured in a Hybrid Style
I work in a hybrid style, capturing both still images and cinematic footage throughout your wedding day. Rather than separate teams for photography and videography, I move naturally between both mediums, using the same professional cameras to switch effortlessly from photography to video whenever the moment calls for it.
This means no large production crew, no repeated staging of moments, and no disruption to the flow of your day, just one consistent creative vision capturing everything as it unfolds.
Working this way creates a more relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests. There’s no sense of being pulled in different directions, and no need to perform for multiple cameras. Instead, your day feels natural, while every important moment is preserved.
Alongside your full wedding gallery of timeless photography, you’ll receive a beautifully crafted 3–5 minute cinematic highlight film — bringing back not just how your wedding looked, but how it felt. The laughter during speeches, the cheers during confetti, the atmosphere of the evening celebration — all captured seamlessly and unobtrusively.
If you’re drawn to photography but love the idea of reliving the voices, movement and atmosphere of the day, hybrid coverage offers both without compromise.

Glasgow & Central Belt Weddings
As a Glasgow wedding photographer and filmmaker, I regularly capture weddings across the Central Belt — from the historic setting of Glasgow University Chapel to the iconic atmosphere of Òran Mór in the heart of the West End. I’ve also photographed celebrations at countryside venues such as Lochside House Hotel and Dalduff Farm, where the pace slows and the landscape becomes part of the story.
Each venue brings its own character, light and energy. Whether it’s a traditional chapel ceremony or a relaxed barn reception, I adapt my approach to capture the atmosphere naturally and unobtrusively.
Orkney Weddings
Being originally from Orkney, photographing weddings on the islands always feels personal. I’ve captured celebrations in some of Orkney’s most meaningful locations — from ceremonies beneath the soaring stone arches of St. Magnus Cathedral to relaxed, character-filled receptions at Berstane Farm Barn.
I’ve documented intimate gatherings at Graemeshall, where history and atmosphere quietly shape the day, and celebrations overlooking the harbour at The Kirkwall Hotel, where family and community are always at the heart of it all.
Orkney weddings have a distinctive rhythm — shaped by the landscape, the weather and the closeness of the people who gather. Whether it’s a cathedral ceremony in Kirkwall or a windswept coastal celebration, my approach remains the same: unobtrusive, story-led and focused on preserving how it truly felt.
Weddings Across Scotland
Alongside Glasgow and Orkney, I photograph and film weddings throughout Scotland — from grand historic settings to quiet, intimate escapes. I’ve captured celebrations in iconic locations such as Edinburgh Castle, where history and city views create a dramatic backdrop, as well as elegant countryside weddings at The Rhynd, where the landscape becomes part of the story.
I’m also regularly drawn to smaller, more intimate celebrations — including elopements in hidden Perthshire cabins, where couples choose privacy, nature and meaning over tradition. These quieter days often carry just as much emotion, and I approach them with the same calm, documentary mindset.
Whether it’s a city ceremony overlooking Edinburgh, a rural estate celebration or a secluded Highland elopement, my aim remains consistent: to preserve the atmosphere, the connection and the feeling of the day as it naturally unfolds.
Over 10 Years of Wedding Experience
With a decade of experience photographing and filming weddings, I understand the rhythm of a wedding day — when to step forward, when to step back, and how to anticipate moments before they happen.
You can relax knowing your memories are being captured thoughtfully and professionally.
"Daniel did an amazing job with our wedding photographs at The Rhynd. We are both over the moon with them. He was fantastic on the day, made us feel so relaxed and we had so much fun. Picking photographs for the album is proving to be difficult as they are all so good."
